News - Xbox Game Pass : Abo-Modell wird überarbeitet, Ultimate-Preis steigt spürbar!

Microsoft überarbeitet den Xbox Game Pass grundlegend und hebt dabei die Preise mitunter saftig an. Für den Xbox Game Pass Ultimate müsst ihr künftig saftige 50 Prozent mehr berappen als bislang!

Das Spiele-Abo Xbox Game Pass wird künftig neu aufgestellt, wie Microsoft heute in einem großen Eintrag via Xbox Wire offiziell bestätigte. Die Stufen Core und Standard verschwinden, stattdessen gibt es künftig den Xbox Game Pass Essential, den Xbox Game Pass Premium und - wie bisher - den Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Es ändert sich aber nicht nur die Namensgebung, die einzelnen Stufen werden mitunter inhaltlich überarbeitet und auch die Preise werden angepasst - und das mitunter saftig. Die Essential-Stufe, die das bisherige Core ersetzt, kostet künftig 8,99 Euro statt 6,99 Euro pro Monat, das Premium-Modell (vergleichbar mit dem bisherigen Standard) bleibt mit 12,99 Euro pro Monat gleich teuer. Richtig heftig wird es beim Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, denn der kostet nicht mehr nur 17,99 Euro im Monat, sondern künftig sage und schreibe 26,99 Euro. Den PC Game Pass gibt es weiterhin, dieser schlägt jedoch mit 14,99 Euro statt bislang 11,99 Euro zu Buche. 

Core-Mitglieder werden automatisch zu Essential-Mitgliedern, wer bislang Standard abonniert hat, wird automatisch in die Premium-Stufe überführt. Ultimate-Mitglieder bleiben in ihrer Stufe.

Fernab der Preisanpassungen und neuen Namen verspricht Microsoft, dass jede Tarifstufe "erweiterte Spielebibliotheken umfasst"; zudem wird das Rewards-Programm überarbeitet. 

Im Fall des deutlich teureren Ultimate spricht Microsoft vom "bislang größten Upgrade", denn es soll mehr Spiele direkt zum Release geben, als jemals zuvor. Erstmals ist Fortnite Crew an Bord, ebenso die Ubisoft+ Classics. Außerdem habe man Verbesserungen bei der Streaming-Qualität von Xbox Cloud Gaming vorgenommen und noch mehr. Wer Ultimate abonniert, erhält pro Jahr Zugang zu über 75 Day-One-Releases, in diesem Jahr unter anderem auch zu Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, High on Life 2 oder The Outer Worlds 2. Diese kommen zu den hier mehr als 400 enthaltenen Spielen dazu. Außerdem gibt es zum Startschuss heute mehr als 45 neue Spiele im Angebot, darunter Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 oder Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Auch im Xbox Game Pass Premium soll es mehr Spiele als zuvor geben. Hier erhaltet ihr Zugriff auf über 200 Spiele, wobei mehr als 40 neue Spiele nun auch auf dem PC gespielt werden können. Unter anderem sind hier nun auch Diablo IV oder Hogwarts Legacy verfügbar.

Der überarbeitete Essential-Plan ermöglicht jetzt auch unbegrenztes Cloud-Gaming neben dem Online-Multiplayer. Der Spielekatalog umfasst hier über 50 Spiele, die sowohl auf Konsole als auch dem PC spielbar sind.
